The article presents the results of expeditions for studying the species distribution of genus Aegilops L. in the
territory of the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic (Azerbaijan) carried out during the years 2013-2014. On
14 routes 42 seed samples and 58 samples of the herbarium material, representing 6 species of Aegilops (1
diploid and 5 tetraploid species) were collected. Eco-geographic data of the collected material were recorded,
and the material was evaluated on the basis of descriptors. Bioecological assessment of collection areas was
carried out on the basis of indicators such as the height above sea level, precipitation (mm) and temperature
(oC).
